Do you want to travel with Spanish trains?
The train station in Granada is located in the city center at Av. De Andaluces, 20, 18014 Granada. The station is open from 6:00 to 22:15.
There are different types of rail services: suburban, medium-distance, Avant trains (short-distance trains) and high-speed AVE trains.
Unfortunately, Granada does not have a high-speed line. The connection with the nearest Ave line is in Antequera, 1 hour and a half from Granada.
Granada has direct partnerships with Algeciras, Almería, Barcellona, Cadice, Ciudad Real, Córdoba, Girona, Guadix, Jerez De La Frontera, Lleida, Madrid, Ronda, Segovia, Siviglia, Tarragona, Toledo, Valencia, Valladolid and Saragozza.
There are two ways to reach Barcelona, Madrid or Zaragoza by train: by Avant train (medium distance) or by AVE train. In the case of the Ave, you have to change trains in Antequera.
There are three ways to buy train tickets:
- On the Internet, through the website www.renfe.es.
- At the station ticket offices, where you can pay by credit card or in cash.
- Purchase train tickets through travel agents, even if they charge a commission.
Granada train station also offers you a car rental service.
There are two companies offering rental services: Avis and Europcar.
Avis is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:15 and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:45. Closed on Sundays and public holidays. Telephone: 958 446 455

There is a taxi rank right in front of the station and there are always a couple of taxis waiting, no advance booking is necessary.

To reach the Granada train station, you can use the new high-capacity line (LAC) which crosses the center and stops at Avda. De la Constitución.
The city bus lines N1, N3, N9, SN1 and U3 circulate near the station.
