David Jiang: We’ve taken several Spanish courses in different places. We spent one week at Delengua taking private lessons at a B2 level. Overall, a positive experience though with some aspects that made it fall short of 5 stars.Pros:- Our teacher was very good, great at explaining concepts and really good at forming discussion topics to force us to use more complicated grammar and language- The teacher quality overall seemed quite high, with an ability to teach across language capabilities- The add-on activities were interesting and helped a lot with Spanish learning, especially the weekend tour to the Alpujarras that in combination with another schoolCons- The school doesn’t have a strong of a sense of “community” as we’ve experience in other places, namely in Latin America, as there is a constant in/out of students and the experience overall felt more “transactional”- The activities are also all additional costs, whereas in other schools there can be “free” activities that are already included in the base feeOverall, positive experience and great for those really looking to do a lot of language learning or for higher level courses. Some drawbacks if looking for a more holistic cultural experience.Another side note, and this does not factor into our rating of the school, in general it is more difficult to practice Spanish outside of the classroom in Spain as the locals (restaurants, markets, bars, museums, etc.) tend to speak English with any non-native Spanish speaker, even when trying to actively use and practice Spanish. Whereas in other countries (e.g. Mexico) the locals seem to be more tolerant (even actively excited and supportive) of language learners speaking in slow and/or broken Spanish. Something to consider if looking at options across different countries.

Phil James: What a wonderful experience I had here last month in the beautiful city of Granada! I had a week at the school (and wish I had longer!), and I was so impressed with the language classes. Angela and Fran were brilliant teachers - really informative, energetic and fun. I felt they placed me in exactly the right class I needed to be. They also helped me with tips on where to visit / eat / explore. The communication from Maria on all the logistics beforehand was great. I hope I will return soon! I have just completed a two-week course at C1 level and I was absolutely thrilled with everything: the quality of instruction, the small classes, the beautiful school in a lovely part of Granada, the perfect organization of everything involving registration and instruction, and, not least of all, the amazingly low price!!Having spoken with many other students during these two weeks at Delengua, I can confirm that EVERYONE I spoke to was in complete agreement with me regarding the outstanding qualities of the school.The director of the school clearly takes pride in everything that the school offers. The teachers work together as a real time and there was absolutely NOTHING that was not taken care of properly. I STRONGLY recommend this school for anyone wishing to learn Spanish at any level in the amazingly beautiful and exciting city of Granada.

They taught in a way that really helped you learn and had time for conversation to practice what you've learned. They also have activities planned throughout the week and there are optional (not included in the price) excursions on the weekends which were so fun! The school also has a great location. Madeline Haas: I had a wonderful time at Delengua! I signed up for the level B1-B2 language class, which met for 3 hours a day - 90 minutes grammar (subjective) and 90 minutes conversation, over 2 weeks. We had a very fun group and lots of practice speaking in Spanish during both classes. I also added on the medical Spanish course, which initially took me through vocabulary focused on the Spanish medical system and human anatomy, and then more complex conversation practice. The school makes it easy to meet people and make friends, with whom you can continue to practice Spanish conversation after class hours. Also in a beautiful setting and nice location within Granada. Highly recommended!

Kate H: Highly recommend! I spent 4 weeks studying here earlier this year and had a great time. Wonderful teachers who teach you a lot of vocab and grammar while also having lots of laughs along the way. Plus there were fun and interesting optional activities organised by the school throughout the week after classes. And as a bonus, Granada is a beautiful place to live for a little while. I had an excellent experience and hope to come back here to improve my Spanish even more in the future. Muchas gracias! :)

sharmillya sundarajoo: i studied at Delengua for a month. Everything about my stay had been perfect and i couldn’t wish for better. Laura from Delengua helped me through everything from the registration to accommodations to arrival pickup to making arrangements to the airport on my last day. Delengua warmly welcomed me upon my arrival and guided and helped me throughout my stay. I immediately felt at home here in Granada and Delengua became my family! My teachers were the best i could ask for, Pepe, Maria Jose and Angela! Thank you so much for supporting me and believing in me throughout! Because of you I have learned the language in a fun way! i came in with no knowledge of speaking the language and I am so glad i have already learned until level A2.1 in just a month. I was really sad to leave so early and wished i had stayed longer. To anyone who is considering Delengua, don’t think twice. Book your place and try and stay longer than a month. I have made life long friends and i will forever cherish all the sweet memories and experience i had here in Granada! It truly is the best place to be. Ewelina Kuczmińska: Stracone pieniądze , fatalna komunikacja, w zamian za kurs opłacony na miejscu (nie odbył się przez COVID) zmuszono mnie do kursu online, w dodatku 2 dni z 5 opłaconych były święta w Hiszpanii i nie dostałam informacji o tym kiedy te lekcje mogę odpracować.

Gertjan Horjus: De hygiëne in de badkamer (schimmel en kalk) en keuken materialen was onvoldoende. Er is nergens verwarming. De schoonmakers zijn onbeschoft en komen afspraken niet na als je bed pas na 3 weken verschoond word. De plek verdiend beter want er zijn veel goede aardige leraren en alleen maar leuke bewoners wat veelal studenten zijn. De gemiddelde leeftijd is tussen de 20 en 30 jaar. Ik had leuke en gezellige 3 maanden, maar de hygiëne moeten ze echt aan werken want ik ben 2 weken heel ziek van geworden.

The quarantine has expired and my residency has expired. I return to my home country. I still struggle with them even now. I left my stuff. My friend communicated with them to send him the things, but they. They don't pay any attention. They cared about money. They took them all, and I did not study or learn anything. Eight days of study costs 4000 €.

Anita byskov: Fatal experiencia en EnforexFalta organización de los estudiantes que reúnen, a ellos no les importa el covi ! Es un momento duro de España! Pero a nadie le importa! Viajan por fuera sin mascarillas y charlan cara a cara por la noche. Si virus acerca en la escuela, ellos vuelven a sus países, pero cómo qué va España??!Los estudiantes hacen ruido en cocina siempre a partir de las 11 de la noche....Son las dos y media de la noche y todavía no puedo dormir. UN grupo de estudiantes en la cocina está haciendo fiesta, riendo y hablando en voz alta. ¿Se han olvidado de la regla española: prohibido hacer ruido después de las 12 de la noche? La experiencia es realmente mala, no es la primera vez que se reúnen en la cocina. Me siento realmente decepcionado por el alto costo de mi alojamiento, pero este es el lugar donde vivo.

Camila: It's a good school with very good teachers, the experience is very worth it. Yessi specially is an amazing teacher that helped me to learn a lot about language and culture. Be in contact with people from other countries is also very interesting.The place is very clean, beautiful and the apartament is comfortable, but it has no air conditioner (that's very bad) and the cleaning service is a little invasive, since the cleaning woman has the keys of the rooms and can enter anytime to clean.The installations of the school in general are very good, but not used, for example the table tennis (without ball) and tv (without controller) are there but nobody uses it

You should reevaluate your staff !Seguridad: I would talk about safety inside the hotel, as in food we getting to eat, most of the employees are openly racist. I wouldn’t doubt that they can do something silly with your food if you are a foreigner, which are almost all people are since they just visiting, i invite you to see what a waiter did to the Moroccan team, he not only insulted the team but also all muslims around the world, this show how the hotel doesn’t care about the staff nor people staying at hotel. I would definitely give them a 0/10 and suggest people not to stay there.

Sissy SN: We stayed there for two nights.We also chose to drive to Granada and park our car outside the town centre ( Parking La Hípica 13€/Day). Driving into the town centre can be a problem, best to leave it there and explore on foot!Check-in: we were met with a professional and friendly team of staff.. All smooth.The bedrooms are of high standard and the interiors are well balanced: stylish/comfortable/elegant.. the location is excellent and nearby to all touristic attractions, bars, restaurants etcThe hotel is cleaned throughout to a high standard ( I would only suggest some home fragrance/ incense for the communal areas,….)The windows are of high quality shutting off all the noise from the Gran Via.the same soundproofing facility could be added to the rooms entrance but it was not a problemTV- there is a variety of channels. The remote control did not work properly and was very slow. This could be much better. After a long day, watching the news at a flick of a button should be done swiftly.There is the option of having breakfast for 20€ per person which I consider expensive.Check out: the ability to check out online is sent to your phone via a link on the night before checking out: nice touch!We did however check out physically and the same standard of service was observed. We also asked for our luggage to be kept in storage and they kindly obliged.WiFi available throughout the hotel and functioning well.Overall,I would highly recommend this hotel: professional staff, great location, very good standards,PS: Shame we did not make it to the roof bar! Next time for sure :D

Pablo Sierra: Sin duda alguna el hotel destaca por su céntrica ubicación y facilidad para ir camines do a los lugares más reseñables de Granada centro. Hotel de 5 estrellas de carácter tradicional, habitación elegantes y sobrias con cama extra grande muy cómoda. La atención del personal excelente en todo momento y el servicio de desayuno un 10, variedad y calidad de la comida en un restaurante modernista que hace el desayuno aún más agradable. Aparcamiento a 1 minuto del hotel con el único inconveniente de ser externo y estar limitado la salida a 1 vez cada 24h.Por calidad, servicio y atención Eurostars una vez más ha hecho de nuestra estancia un placer.

Only drawback is for those of us from tropical climates, the hotel does not turn on the central AC until late spring, making our stay (sleep) very uncomfortable. Of the 14 nights in Spain (all Marriott properties) Westin, Ritz, W, etc this hotel was the only one without AC.

Kasara Smith: We stayed here in a family vacation with 4 people. We got 2 rooms and they were lovely, comfortable and spacious. It was wonderful to stay in an historic hotel. Breakfast was incredible. There was a buffet and you could order a hot breakfast as well. The turndown service was a nice touch as well. The people who helped us at the front desk and in the bar and restaurant were very nice. Miguel Ángel helped us with our bags when we arrived and enthusiastically told us all about the hotel. Marco at the restaurant was very helpful as well. We checked out before breakfast started but he got us breakfast to go so we could eat on our train. We were very grateful for that! The front desk also helped us with buying tickets to a flamenco show. The location of the hotel could not be beat. It’s between the Granada Cathedral and St Jerome Monastery. About a 5-10 minute walk to each place.Habitaciones: Great amenities: robes, slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, comb, and vanity set. Also complimentary bottles of water.

David Menzies: Charming hotel in a very historic venue. Good service. The rooms were a bit small and cold and felt smaller than pictures. Design suggestion: instead of pinkish/red walls in bedroom why not go with clean white?
